Jason Wagener graduated in 1991 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a major in Law & Society. While in college, he worked for the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office, investigating consumer fraud. He graduated in 1995 from the Chicago Kent College of Law, earning an academic award in the area of environmental law and making the Dean’s List. During law school, he worked for the Cook County State’s Attorney and also clerked for both personal injury firms and insurance defense firms, ultimately deciding to pursue a career in insurance defense litigation.
Jason has more than 25 years of experience in the defense of general liability matters, defending construction companies following construction-related accidents, defending motor carriers following tractor-trailer accidents, and representing insureds of various carriers in the areas of auto liability and premises liability. Jason also has experience working with insurance carriers and their insureds on insurance coverage issues, compliance with federal statutes and third-party employer liability. He has experience with high exposure lawsuits and has successfully defended clients in jury trials and bench trials. He has also resolved hundreds of cases through arbitrations and mediations.
